Soil Building and Composting

Date:
Sun, 05/16/2010 - 10:00am - 4:30pm

Why soil?  Soil is Sacred!
Soil supports plant life both physically and biologically. All life on earth is dependent on it either directly and indirectly. Soil is sacred!  Good quality, healthy soil is the foundation of creating a vibrant, sustainable landscape. We will spend this day examining how nature creates healthy soil and how we can copy her wise ways.  No-till gardening, sheet mulching, soil building and composting will be the heart of our discussion and hands-on experience and continue our immersion into the permaculture principles “Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share.”

Part of our Home-Scale Permaculture Workshop Series.
