Every year, we invite our community to join us for a potluck and celebration of the beginning of Spring. Whether you've been involved for years or are just learning about Woodbine and want to know more, all are invited to come spend some time with us at our beautiful facility outside of Sedalia, CO! The Spring Celebration is a great time to meet new friends, reconnect with old ones, and learn more about the great programs, educational events, and volunteer opportunities that Woodbine will be offering this year.
This year, we are especially excited to be previewing some of the upgrades and new projects we'll be launching at the facility! We can't accomplish them all alone though, so come learn about the great opportunities to be a part of taking Woodbine to a higher level by volunteering with our permaculture and eco-cultural restoration projects this Spring! Plus, you'll have the chance to learn and get your hands dirty during the Celebration in our fun and educational willow coppicing project hosted by Woodbine's staff (dress for work in muddy conditions if you want to participate). We may even take a little hike in the woods if the weather cooperates!
The event will be a potluck lunch, so please bring one of your favorite dishes, sides, or a drink to share if you can. But we'll have plenty of food, so even if you can't bring a dish, just bringing yourself is fine! Late arrivals and early departures are fine - you can expect a relaxed day of fun, learning, and community building. Please note that the snow is still melting up here, making things a bit muddy at times, so make sure to wear some solid shoes!
Please RSVP here if you plan to join us so that we know how many people to cook for! That also helps us get in touch about an alternative location if the weather ends up not cooperating.
Only a few more days till Spring! We can't wait to see you all at the Celebration!
