Winter. It is a time of rest, reflection, restoration, regeneration. A time when we gather around the fire to share stories of the year that is ending, to celebrate our victories and mourn our loses, to reaffirm our values, to reconnect as a community. A time when we get together to recreate our vision for our future, our story for the year ahead. Join Woodbine staff and community members to celebrate the turn of the seasons, to share our stories with each other, stories of joy, grief, survival, resilience. We will share our stories of Woodbine, winter, the land, and the importance of storytelling, and we will create space for you, our community, to share with us, and each other, your own stories, so that we can tell, together, the story of our lives, our future.
We will provide pencils, pens, crayons, markers, paper, and prompts for you to think and write and share your stories, along with some light food and drinks to share. Come with your open heart and loving spirit to remember with us the challenges that we have overcome and to renew our solidarity and collective strength for the times ahead. If you can, bring some light food or snacks to share with others.
Hosted and co-sponsored by The Chinook Fund. This event will be held at the Posner Center, in Denver.
